Still Mind, Burning World

This painting is less about realism, more about emotional presence.  It's a striking watercolor style portrait with a lot of emotion and movement packed into it.  The face is calm but serious, there's a reflective, almost stoic expression, like they're deep in thought or looking toward something beyond the frame.I was in the zone while painting this--a state where everything quiets down and something deeper takes over.Inner stillness and outer intensity.2606
